Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop and deliver engaging STEM curriculum that encourages students to explore real-world scientific and technological issues and solutions.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Assess and record students’ progress, providing grades and feedback to foster their academic growth.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and contribute to school-wide training events.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in STEM education and integrate new teaching methods and technologies into your practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or Graduate Diploma in Teaching, with a focus on STEM subjects.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (e.g., UK Ancestry Visa, Youth Mobility Scheme Visa for those aged 18-35, Skilled Migrant Visa).
- Strong knowledge of STEM subjects and a passion for teaching these disciplines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in STEM education.
