Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and deliver engaging STEM curriculum that encourages students to explore real-world scientific and technological issues and solutions.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Assess and record students’ progress, providing grades and feedback to foster their academic growth.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and contribute to school-wide training events.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in STEM education and integrate new teaching methods and technologies into your practice.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or Graduate Diploma in Teaching, with a focus on STEM subjects.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (e.g., UK Ancestry Visa, Youth Mobility Scheme Visa for those aged 18-35, Skilled Migrant Visa).
  • Strong knowledge of STEM subjects and a passion for teaching these disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development in STEM education.
